HMS 7th-Graders Collaborate on Kindness Projects

Seventh-grade Hoover Middle School students in Kelly Bacon's ELA classes have been out spreading kindness throughout the month of May. Students are currently working on “kindness projects” either in groups or individually. So far, students have made origami boxes filled with treats for all HMS teachers, made cupcakes for police officers, donated items to the Ken-Ton Closet, and walked around HMS with a snack cart for teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Mrs. Bacon says the goal is for her students to realize that seventh-graders have the power to make a difference and that their words and actions matter.
