Hoover Hoots Make Birthday Bags for Local Families

Nearly 30 fourth-grade students make up the Hoover Elementary School Hoots, a group that works on projects within the school and Ken-Ton community. This year, the Hoots decided to make the Ken-Ton Closet part of their Spring Community Project.

Thanks to these students, Hoover parents, and the Hoover HSA, the group was able to make 40 Birthday Bags to donate. Each bag contains frosting and cake mix, birthday plates, candles, balloons, a birthday banner, silverware, napkins and party hats, all donated by the Hoover community over the last few weeks. These bags will assist families who need a little extra help celebrating their child's birthday.

Great job to the entire Hoover community, including Hoots leaders Mrs. Haefner, Miss Hoch, Miss Gugliuzza, Miss Lewandowski, Ms. Barrett and Ms. Sperrazza.
