Our School

hoover middle

Hoover Middle School celebrates diversity! We welcome students from all different cultures into our building! HMS has students who speak Arabic, Swahili, French, Burmese, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish, Persian, Wolof, Vietnamese, Karenni, Karen, and Nepali, to name a few. These students add to the rich culture we provide here at Hoover Middle School!

Our school was built in 1951. President Herbert Hoover attended, and spoke at, the dedication of the school on October 10th, 1951. The school was then a K-6 building. It now is split into an Elementary building and a Middle School building.

HMS Mission: To develop self-directed, lifelong learners of good character

HMS Vision: A respectful, caring learning environment; high academic and social expectations; increasing levels of engagement of students, staff and families
